[How-To] New Market on Rooted 2.1 Devices [Updated]

Well, look what we have here, a new market on a 2.1 device. There have been a lot of articles floating around for the new market to be put on stock, rooted 2.2 devices, so where's the love for 2.1 users? Here it is!

Well, look what we have here, a new market on a 2.1 device. There have been a lot of articles floating around for the new market to be put on stock, rooted 2.2 devices, so where's the love for 2.1 users? Here it is! Thanks to Adrynalyne, from XDA, any rooted Samsung Fascinate with CWM has the new market! Here's the how to:

  • Download this file HERE
  • MAKE A BACKUP!!!
  • Put the file on your SD Card
  • Boot into recovery and flash the file above
  • Reboot
  • DONE!

It's just that easy. This HAS been confirmed working on the Samsung Fascinate, and could possibly work on all 2.1 devices. Give it a try, just make a backup first. Let us know in the comments below if it worked for you!

UPDATE: We have different reports telling us that this has worked on different 2.1 phones, so have a go at, just don't forget to back things up before you do.

@chadsteeltanker sadly no 4G here, been on Wi-Fi for a good bit of the day out of the 10hrs I would say I've been on 3G about 7hrs
